Organizers hoping to bring the 2016 Olympics to Tokyo say their bid will weather the global economic downturn. Tokyo's bid committee for the 2016 Games pointed to the Japanese government's $100 billion loan to the International Monetary Fund as proof of the country's resilience amid the worsening financial crisis.
